Jim Zwerg, Facilities Manager for the Phoenix Fire Department, said his initial intent when contacting GearGrid was to improve their storage systems for firefighter turnout gear and improve the longevity of the gear. The department wanted to rethink and redesign turnout gear space and storage thinking, an easy task in new construction projects.

"When we give tours, we receive many comments on how clean and organized the fire station looks," Eden Prairie Assistant Chief Ward Parker said.
